Mom Stays Home With Me

The past 6 months have been extremely unusual for us.  I thank God daily for proving my husband his job. It is taking time to adjust to his schedule and then we start homeschooling in a couple of weeks. I have tried very hard to stick with my weekly shopping trips. I was able to stop by Bi-Lo last night after Church and was impressed with my trip.

I spent $8.25 out of pocket for $46.04 worth of products. This was an 82% savings! I continuously get asked “Where do you get your coupons?” The first place I check before I leave my house for ANY shopping trip is coupons.com. I also have a subscription to The Charlotte Observer which I was able to get through Discounted newspaper subscriptions at a really cheap price.

At first, my family thought I was crazy!  Now, they are seeing my savings by spending very little time researching before making a purchase.  I actually save MORE money purchasing online because I do not impulse buy either.  I shop online for a specific item and stick to that particular item.  When I shop in stores, I have a tendency to look for clearance items and spend more money.

Big Crumbs has become my favorite site.  I sign into Big Crumbs and search for the store I am shopping through.  Then I receive cash back for making my purchase.  That simple!

For instance, the other day I was planning to make a big purchase.  I searched through several sites – eBay, Best Buy, Target and Walmart.  Walmart had the particular item $25 cheaper online that what it was in the store.  Because I purchased through Big Crumbs, I earned another $4.  I was able to save $29 on this particular purchase.   Best part:  My cash back earnings are deposited into my PayPal account!

I think these are the cutest! Many times I will be at a park, Extreme Play, or McDonald’s PlayLand and start talking to other moms. I could not figure out why my camera was taking such awful pictures.  I was a little slow but finally figured the lens needed to be cleaned. Oh well.
